Standard Paintballing Equipment

Paintballers love their gadgets – get down to your nearest shop or click on the UKPBA Member's Directory to discover the whole world of wonderful stuff out their; from body armour to remote activated anti-personnel paint mines (seriously).

On a standard day at any of our Member's sites, you would expect to have access to the following equipment:

Paintball Marker:

This is your weapon of choice. You can expect to be issued with a semi-automatic marker that has been tested to ensure the exit velocity of the paintball is within safety standards.

Paintballs

This is your ammunition. These are availble for purchase on the day and your usage depends on how 'trigger-happy' you are. From all reports, it's more fun to be firing them than being hit by them!

Face Mask

These are the most important safety component of your paintball experience. These vary from full-face masks to complete masks that cover the head, ears and face.

Hopper

The Hopper is where your paintballs feed from before being fired by the marker. These typically hold 100-200 paintballs. You may also be issued with a Battle Pack which contains additional paintballls so you can reload on the run!

Battle Clothing and Team Markings

This comprises a cover-all garment which protects your clothing and also reduces the 'sting' of the impacting paintballs. The Team Markings are usually a coloured arm-band or similiar which distinguishes your team from the enemy.

Smoke and Paint Grenades

Smoke and Paint grenades are also available usually at an additional cost or as part of some packages. Smoke Grenades provide great cover when confronting or eluding the enemy and Paint Grendaes provide a means of maximum paint coverage during close-in combat.
